How to get an upgraded spiritual satellite package: changing your channels

This week I have been doing a lot of personal meditation, psychic readings, stretching my body, vocal affirmations and wanting to delve into deep conversations with people on spiritual topics. I can feel the energy in the air, the Lunar cycle, the anticipation of the Solar Eclipse upon me. I want to grow as much as possible before this long Winter comes. 

I've been collecting witching stones, making to-do lists, talking to those I love, mending drama and sleeping in.  Admitting the need for self-care and taking special attention to drop the guilt. I'm feeling lighter. I feel like now that the physical pain of my recent kidney infection has passed post-surgery and now I can grow from the Maslow's Hierarchy of needs from a basic survival mode to something greater. I can rise above the physical pain and elevate myself with manifestation of thought. 

I've been thinking a lot about channeling. Reading about it, researching it, talking about addiction and nuerospsychology on the Podcast STATE OF MIND and making special efforts to learn more about channeling.  I put on my psychology hat, eat a dark chocolate peanut butter cup and sit back... 

How do you channel? I think to myself

I over-analyze and observe others in my life, I probe and interview, I ask advice when I need it.  I reached out to those friends and family who are capable of taking the extra attention and I asked them, "How do you channel?" Without any preface, I wanted to hear their response. I digested all I could of their language, their body movements, their eyes, their emotions through language. I listened.  I slept on the information, I wrote in my journal, I even did some psychic readings (and was wowed by the validation).  I started to see more signs to dig even deeper.

I dedicated time to the subject, explored myself and my own concepts of channeling and then called my best friend to further digest the information into something 'more'.  I wanted to fully birth the discussion of CHANNELING with someone who would give me an entirely different perspective. So, it began. The mental journey into exploring more of what channeling energy really is. More than just the stories of religion, the behaviors of ritual, counting a rosary... what are you doing REALLY, in the mind.

For me, I explained, "I know that the Virgo inside me wants to do the very best I can. I want to help others in a way that is far greater than myself, the Mother Teresa kind of love. I know I want to know-it all but I'm wise enough to know a full cup can not hold anymore information. So you let go of ego, you bend your fear, you say aloud that you need help from those who know more. I reach out to Mother Earth, The Universe, prophets before me, those who were strong enough mentally to connect on a more direct level to the divine information that is all around us. The clearest vessel is LOVE but I struggle with self-confidence at times, so self-love can be a human struggle for me this life.  I need help, like calling my grandmother for a family recipe that I can trust to share with new friends. Something older and more special, more sacred, than myself.  By calling out to these collective energies, these icons in history, these ancestors before me (Baron Samedi, Grandpa Francis, Spirit Guides, Hathor, Mother Earth, George Carlin, Buddha... are just some of my go-tos) that can do more good than I alone.  I take their advice, use my form to deliver the message and TRUST that the reading and information is exactly what needs to be said/heard/witnessed, and I'm honored to be a part of the process.  Like a priest seeing constant miracles, through his connection and shared belief in a religion - he sees validation of love, mind-power and divine energy all the time. I don't care what you call it, how you access it, only how you choose to use it."

It was the best I could spew my introspective thoughts on channeling.  I know my sister Cat Wilder uses channeling to enhance her power; she is a proud Leo who can cast telepathic energy like a spiritual roar through the Ether. It can be aggressive, hot like a laser of karmic forces, but it's powerful enough to burn and change energy. A destructive and powerful force.

My husband, is a Master of his own Force and uses space, math, atheism and human behavior to validate his inner power. I watch him sit down in his studio, put on his headphones, almost glaze over as he makes his amazing music, and when I listen to it - I can see the connections. I see these massive planetary organisms, like a bee hive or a great machine, humming in harmony on a scale much bigger than the individual self and his music becomes this frequency of the information. His channeling is visceral and constant movement like an escalator of information that only becomes stairs when not plugged in.

My friend keeps her channeling at a distance; choosing to cast outward only good and keep her anger to herself. You can see the kindness bursting at the seems and know her intentions are always good but you worry that she never allows herself the same kindness for fear that it will be too ... real. The desire to seeing loved ones if you opened up the door to channeling might have you only facing grief instead of their presence.  A type of loss that keeps your closing the doors to channeled energy when instead you should know there is no fear but fear itself. The easy cliche of self-love and what channeling really is about : THE SELF.

Those who practice religion, channel. Meditation can even be a form of channeling.  Because the concept is so deeply personal, subjective and polluted with human interpretation it is difficult to discuss and really explore.  It's on my mind heavy this week as I continue the journey to learn more and I hope you'll join me.
