July Manifestations: How to make SH*T Happen

I turn up the Ed Sheeran song, a guilty pleasure because I know teeny-boppers everywhere are making the same face and motions as I am.  Dancing across the morning carpet is a must for me to start the day off right and usually I trust the Universe to give me my soundtrack. I literally take the first song on Pandora Shuffle to be my daily meditation or motto. Silly perhaps but I love to interact with all sorts of energies and music speaks to me. I shimmy over to the fridge and prepare the morning smoothie, thinking of the surge in recent emails.

When I return from a conference, there are always a slew of forms and emails to sort through. Some are great reviews, feedback, criticisms, advice but also questions.  I do not subscribe to coincidence and therefore I try my best to listen to the themes that are repeated over and over...
Recently is has been about HOW.

How to practice spirituality? How do you manifest something? Do you need a spell? People asking about how to get their validation and to know how 'what they are doing is right' or 'what to do at all' in regards to their spirituality. As you can imagine, just like reading those last few sentences, it gets complicated. Everyone is different.

I start explaining how intent and connection matter. I know how the Universe and I connect and I know the intentions because I put them out there. I took the time, and still take time, to organize and sort my symbols, meanings, idols, guides, and patterns.  If I'm getting a lot of a certain number, lesson, question or a song is haunting me... I listen and take notice. PAY ATTENTION.  Step One. Learn how you connect with the world around you.  For example, here are some of my intimate connections:

  1. Birds: Ravens (1/2/3) all mean something specific to me and depending on when, how many I see, I know this is a specific message to me.  Turtle doves are my grandma Fern, cardinals are my grandpa Francis, Blue Jays are a reminder to stay persistent and stubborn.  No one told me these symbols, they are meaningful to me through life experience; a connection of life.
  2. Numbers - a series, a certain grouping, a time... those repetitive numbers that always seem to catch you. What does it mean? For me, I started to write them down. I always see 427, 827, 314, 911... and so forth. 427 is 'half of my birthday' and represents spring, growth, planting the seed and to JUST DO IT.  I'll be asking a question to myself and then all the sudden a car will pull out in front of me and the license plate reads 427. This is speaking to me!  314 is sometimes considered a subconscious issue of religious forgiveness and protection but for me, it is both my husband Brandon (firm, patient, kind) and my step-mom (birthday, celebration, pie).  Depending on context, I apply the numbers when they are present and the more you pay attention, the more they will come into focus. (Insert debate on placebo effect = manifestation = casting = tunnel vision = confirmation bias).  Drop all of that shit and just pay attention.
I have so many book projects 'in the works' it's scary. Making time to write them is the hardest part!

I could go on and on with my own personal symbols, but the doing comes in making that list and saying it out loud. Write it down, journal your dreams, put the potential energy (in your mind) into kinetic form and into the physical realm (do it). It is not so important WHAT you do, but WHY you do.  Colored candles your thing? Meditating to Metallica, yoga in the park, going on a fast, chanting, drumming, wood-working... it doesn't matter what you do, just why you do.  The goal is to find what speaks to you and your passion and do the thing that lets you have peace. No guilt, no shame, no attachment, baggage, emotional concern, no resentment... just that happy place doing something you love.

I photograph everything. I love light and capturing happiness. Allowing others into my mind for a moment...

I'm becoming a handstand addict. I can see why hanging upside down helps change your perception.

I love to go rock - hunting. You heard me! Witching stones are a symbol of infinite love to others/connection.

Working on my balance and core, learning to love Yoga.

I love to write, research, and my morning meditation to silence and then playing Pandora is always a good start. I write my afformations on the mirror until I can't read them anymore and I find planting things in my garden is the place I like to 'plant projects'.  I do things by the moon, I listen to my television (crazy I know, but it really talks to me) and I never subscribe to coincidence. I BELIEVE in connection and want to see all the strings the Universe is pulling me with.

What do YOU DO to connect?
